1. Information We Collect

VerseFeed is designed with privacy-first principles and minimizes data collection:

• Account Credentials: When you create an account or sign in with Google or Email/Password, we collect your email address, display name, and unique authentication user ID via Firebase Authentication.
• Synchronized User Preferences & History: When signed in, your bookmarked verses, custom folder names, selected traditions/religions, audio settings, and reading progress are stored in Cloud Firestore so your library seamlessly syncs across your devices.
• Guest & Offline Mode: If you use VerseFeed as a Guest or without an active internet connection, all preferences and reading records remain strictly on your local device storage (localStorage / IndexedDB) and are never transmitted to our servers.

• Your account data and synchronized library items are stored securely on Google Firebase / Google Cloud Platform servers located in secure data centers.
• All network transmissions use industry-standard HTTPS / TLS encryption to protect data in transit.
• We never sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third-party data brokers or marketing lists.

3. Third-Party Services & Subprocessors

VerseFeed integrates with trusted infrastructure providers to deliver its features:

• Google Firebase (Authentication & Cloud Firestore): Manages secure user login, password recovery, and cross-device bookmark synchronization.
• Google Play Billing & RevenueCat: Manages optional in-app subscriptions and purchase receipt verification. All financial payment details are handled exclusively by Google Play; VerseFeed never receives or stores your credit card or billing details.
• Google AdMob: Serves non-intrusive native advertisements to free-tier users. AdMob may process device identifiers (such as Google Advertising ID) in strict accordance with Google's Advertising Policies and applicable privacy laws.
• Piper Neural TTS Engine: Audio synthesis operates completely locally on your device using offline WebAssembly. No voice audio, reading habits, or transcripts are ever recorded or transmitted to external AI servers.

You maintain full control over your personal data:

• In-App Account Deletion: You can permanently delete your account and wipe all synchronized cloud records at any time by opening Settings → Profile → Delete Account.

VerseFeed does not knowingly collect personal identifiable information from children under the age of 13. If you believe that a child has provided us with personal information without parental consent, please contact us immediately to remove such information.
